The next Seattle SAGE meeting is Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 7pm.

There will be party food sponsored by Silicon Mechanics.  Check them out

There will also be several CACert assurers present.

The meeting will be at the Electrical Engineering building on the University
of Washington Campus, aka EE1. Directions are linked to the EE Department's
web site below. Parking is $4 after 4pm.

Abstract:

Solaris 10 is probably Sun's most significant OS release in years,
including many dramatic changes that require new approaches to
administering Solaris systems. This presentation introduces you to
some of the cool new features of Solaris 10, including the Service
Management Framework (SMF), the Basic Audit Reporting Tool (BART),
ZFS, zones, DTrace, and more.

Speaker Bio:

Leon has been using and administering UNIX systems since 1990,
and been employed as a full-time sysadmin since 1995. While he's
worked extensively with Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Mac OS X, and too many
other flavors of UNIX, lately he's been spending a lot of time
with Solaris working at Philips Medical Systems. In his "spare"
time he enjoys being with his wife and daughters, sampling craft
beers, playing D&D, and writing for O'Reilly (not all at once!).

The Seattle SAGE Group (SSG) is a local group for systems & network
administrators in the Seattle and Pacific northwest areas (North
Western Washington). We are a local chapter of SAGE, but SAGE / USENIX
membership is not a requirement.  We sponsor a regular monthly meeting
open to the public on the second Thursday if each month at 7 p.m.
