                Computer Science/Systems Administration Intern

3Tier Environmental Forecast Group is seeking a CS/EE/MIS undergraduate
intern. This individual must be motivated, responsible and have the
ability to take a project from inception to completion with limited
supervision.  They will perform systems and network administration
tasks including software and hardware upgrades, and Ethernet
networking. They will use a variety of programming tools to manage
operations in a production environment.

       The intern will have the opportunity to be mentored by
experienced professionals and work with existing Beowulf cluster
technology, web, file and DNS services as well as implementing new
network services such as webbased email, calendar and networked
backups.

       This a paid position designed for a student at up to 20 hours per
week during the school year, and up to 40 hours per week during the
summer.

Requirements:
       Strong written and verbal communication skills
       2 or more years of user experience with UNIX/Linux
       Proficiency in one or more procedural language like C, Perl, C++,
bash, etc
             and
       One or more OO language like Python, Java, Ruby, Perl, C++

UNIX/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X administration, SQL, HTML
and XML experience are a plus.
