Talk Abstract:

Ever seen a blue screen of death (BSOD)? Ever just aborted the crash dump,
rebooted, swore at Microsoft, and gone on your way? There is a better way,
and no, it's not (necessarily) Linux. This talk will show you some simple
tools and techniques that will help you identify the culprit of most
crashes so you can respond to your next BSOD with more than a shrug and
a three fingered salute.

Speaker Bio:

Scott has been a System Administrator for 12 years and runs the Seattle
Area System Administrators Guild. He mostly manages Windows servers & Cisco
boxes now, but does still do some work with Solaris and occassionally even
gets to use BSD & Linux. He is an aviation buff who enjoys flight
simulation and plane spotting with his wife and two children.

This is FREE and open to the public and a wonderful opportunity.

The Seattle Area System Administrator's Guild (SASAG) is a local group
for system & network administrators in Greater Seattle Area. We are a
local chapter of both SAGE and LOPSA, but membership in either is not a
requirement. We sponsor a regular monthly meeting open to the public on
the second Thursday if each month at 7 p.m.
