There are indeed many people that want to "make their mark" by going in a
different direction, but very few people are have the knowledge necessary,
are willing to take on a leadership/team building role, and are actually
able make it happen in a constructive way amoung a community of people. The
person that proposed this appears (based on the writeup) to have at least
the rudiments of what it takes to move this kind of thing forward.
