The timing on this Friday afternoon is no surprise given their
anticipated "pay up" court date with Novell.

Hmmm, their filings say they owe their Boies Schiller lawyers
something like $287K. But I am going to guess that their lawyers are
probably making good money on other, perhaps more meritorious,  cases.
 And what's $287K, anway?  A pittance.

Given the really bad smell of this whole thing and for how long it has
stunk, if I were an IT manager for a SCO-dependent shop and if I
didn't spend a *lot* of my time in the past couple years figuring out
how to unhook my company's cars from this Hellbound train, I would
expect my boss to pick me up and throw me under the wheels.  'Course,
maybe somebody will pick up the pieces for a pittance and support
those SCO customers, but I wouldn't bet on it.
