This document may help you out, p31 tells how to clear the BMC system 
event log.

The DL140s honestly don't have a very good cooling system. I wouldn't be 
surprised if one of the cooling fans gave out on the system (this has 
happened to me in the past) so you may want to check that. My luck with 
DL140 G3 hardware in general has been pretty horrid.
