Speakers & Schedule
-------------------

We will again be having short 5 minute lightning talks, with 10 or so minutes
of Q&A after each one. If you're interested, add yourself below.

12:00 PM: Arrive, get settled, Food!!! (Pizza, thanks to Silicon Mechanics) and
mingling

12:30 PM: Glenn Stone: Anti-Spam for Small Sites with Postfix

A lot of sites spend a lot of CPU bandwidth on spam detection based on content.
I have built a system that does not rely on content, but on the sender and how
they present themselves in the SMTP session; this proves to be
CPU-non-intensive and fairly reliable for small sites. I will go over the
basics of how it is done.

12:45 PM: Paul Bartell: An intro to IRC (Internet Relay Chat)

I will be presenting usual IRC commands, and possably how to use some op
features, as some members expressed wanting to be introduced to how to use IRC.
Ill also run over a list of irc clients and how they are used.

1:00 PM: Brian Hatch: Mystery presentation on wondrous Linux type things

1:15 PM: Mohsen Banan : Libre Services and By*

Libre Services are an extension of the principles of free software into the
domain of Internet services. The By* Family of Libre Services is a unified
and non-proprietery set of Internet Application Services for both individuals
and businesses. By* Libre Services are based on pure free software which the
users can reproduce at will. This is a high level overview presentation
introducing the concepts from engineering, societal and business dimensions.

Presentation slides are at:http://www.neda.com/Records/0710201

1:30 PM: Garrett Honeycutt: How Speakeasy deals with Spam

This brief talk will give insight into our techniques for filtering 4M mails a
day, a look at our infrastructure plans, and how secondary MX's can be
dangerous.

?:?? PM: Raffles, prizes, give aways

?:?? PM - 4:00 PM: Workshop

The rest of the day will be open for people to chat and get hands-on support
with installation and any other questions.

Please forward this on to whatever lists should get this notification.

Hope to see you there.
