At my last job we used a couple Weatherducks for environment monitoring:

We didn't like the web server or Java front-ends, so we ended up writing
our own data gathering and storage glue, and eventually tied it into
Nagios. Here's the stuff you'd need for that:

There not much in the way of documentation, but I can throw some
together if you need it.
