Hi MJ,

Sometimes you can get one final use out of a drive by putting it into a plastic bag & leaving in the freezer overnight. If it works, it will work for about 20 minutes or so.

If you have no other/better choice, then it's worth a try.

Also, check out some of the other online merchants that you can contact directly & see whether you can get a better price:
