Thank you for the responses; here's what I got.

   - Firewalls are off for the time being
   - Unable to connect to either machine over telnet (to and from)
   - Network Setup
      - We use Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V and System Center Virtual
      Machine Manager
      - Host is 10.10.10.10
      - VM is 10.10.10.101
      - Host1 (1 physical NIC) and VM2 are connected through one switch
      (Cisco 3750)
      - A second host (also 1 physical NIC) is connected to that same switch
      - The Hosts are on the same subnet and switch and can ping each other

Ping Results using cmd.exe and a packet sniffer (this gets interesting)
*
*
*Ping from VM to Host*
cmd.exe - no reply
VM Sniffer - Only outgoing packets shown
Host Sniffer - No packets shown

*Ping Host to VM*
cmd.exe - no reply
VM Sniffer - Transmit and receive shown
Host Sniffer - *No* transmit or receive shown

Thanks again!
